Femmes Développement, the not-for-profit that helps Rwandan women and children, hosts an African and Motown inspired gala charity ball on 18 October.
One of the charity’s principal fundraisers, the annual gala dinner and ball held in October at the Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains, this year has an Africa and African culture theme. One of the highlights will be a performance by Motown tribute act Suprema from London.
There will also be a catwalk show with models wearing clothes by successful Cameroonian designer Arrey Kono and entertainment from Li Marteling’s school of dance, with an Afro Jazz Dance presentation.
As usual, the organisers have also managed to gather a great selection of “dreamy prizes” for the tombola at the dinner.
