New York City post-punk band Pill and Vancouver based collective NOV3L play Rotondes on Wednesday.
Pill from New York City are on tour with their second album, the critically acclaimed “Soft Hell”, which is loaded with the band’s “brand of post-punk/no wave/jazz freakout”, says Jonathan Bannister of post-trash.com. We like the raw energy of tracks like ‘Fruit’.
NOV3L play post-punk in the Gang Of Four tradition, which is definitely a good think in Delano’s book. Last December they released their debut 8-track EP which Stereogum said served as “a reminder that the dawn of early aughts nostalgia is upon us.” Check out the jangly guitars on ‘To Whom It May Concern’.
