Australian artist RyX first hit public attention with atmospheric single “Berlin”
RyX, real name Ry Cumming, returns to Luxembourg to play at den Atelier. The singer-songwriter, who played a legendary show at the Notre Dame cathedral two years ago, has a new album, “Unfurl” that was released in February. Cumming cites Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” as an influence, and it is easy to hear echoes of that iconic album in RyX’s work. But there are also echoes of Sigur Ros, says Pop Matters reviewer Ryan Lathan, in songs like ‘Fumbling Prayer’.
Support comes from mesmerizing Canadian violinist and singer Hannah Epperson, who has twice performed at de Gudde Wëllen to huge acclaim.
