Luis Vasquez’s musical project lands in Luxembourg for a show at De Gudde Wëllen for a sold-out show.
The Soft Moon’s brand new album, “Criminal”, has just been released to critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and Drowned In Sound. The fourth release by what is essentially Luis Vasquez’s solo project sees the mood shift from the post-punk gothic of early albums to a more industrial sound on the likes of ‘Burn’--Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails is cited as an influence by more than one critic. But there is much more to Vasquez (photo Julie Bonato) than mere mimicking. “There's an energy about “Criminal” right from the get-go that keeps it from being mere pastiche and into a memorable and enticing record” writes Adam Turner-Heffer in Drowned In Sound.
The Soft Moon’s concerts are renowned for integrating stunning visuals and this intimate show promises to be no different. However, be warned that capacity is limited to just 100 entries and the show is sold out. But this is one well worth hunting down a ticket for—try advertising for one to buy on the Gudde Wëllen’s Facebook page.
