Members of the public will be able to meet some of the authors of the new Luxembourg short story and poetry anthology, “Fresh from the Fountain” at this event.
Organised by Black Fountain Press and team, the event features Luxembourg-US writer Pierre Joris, who will be joined by literary prize finalist Robert Schofield and Jos Kayser for a presentation.
Pierre Joris has published around 50 books including his own works of poetry, anthologies and translations.
Robert Schofield is originally from the UK. His first novel, The Fig Tree and The Mulberry, was a prizewinner in Luxembourg’s annual literary competition, le Concours Littéraire National, in 2010.
Jos Kayer is a Luxembourg prose writer, who published “Prinzessin Charlotte” in 2017 and “D’Bomi ass dout” in 2018.
Students from the University of Luxembourg and the University of Sheffield will also be present. The event is open to all members of the public interested in English language literature in Luxembourg.
Black Fountain Press was founded in early 2017 by a group of Luxembourgers as the first purely English-language publishing house in Luxembourg. It has since published three books: “On the Edge”, by Anne-Marie Reuter, “One Day I Will Write a Poem”, by Lambert Schlechter, and “Fresh From the Fountain”, and compilation of works in English by 29 writers.
