One of the original tribute acts, the Bootleg Beatles have been performing since 1980.
Although the band’s line up has changed since it was founded, the fab four still draw in the crowds for their faithful rendering of Beatles songs. Hailed as “note-perfect” as they belt out the all too familiar hits, the band has taken part in some fairly momentous performances. For instance, on the 30th anniversary in 1999 they recreated the famous rooftop concert in London at the former home of the Beatles' Apple Corps company. They also supported Oasis at their legendary Knebworth gigs, and in 2002 played at Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee concert.
