On a mission to bring the best indie bands to Luxembourg, the Out Of The Crowd festival has been a permanent fixture since 2004.
Today, it is a watch word for exploring emerging bands from around the world. This year’s festival, on 22 April, will treat festival-goers to a pick’n’mix of talented musicians. Among the line-up are Brighton-based Luo, Melbourne’s Civil Civic, Mancunian electronic-jazz trio GoGo Penguin and the UK’s The Physics House Band.
The festival was organized by the Shalltot Collective, essentially a group of friends who got together in 2002 to put on shows by bands they wanted to see but that no local venue was booking. “We choose bands we love. It’s just a way to share our passion with other people,” says the collective’s Nicolas Przeor.
