The acclaimed Lux-German trio perform a show at de Gudde Wëllen.
Aaron Ahrends, Paul Rundel and Pascal Karier have come a long way since starting Say Yes Dog in 2011 and then being hailed as a new band of the day by The Guardian in 2013--the paper’s write-up said the band’s music was delightfully infantile in appeal. “It's music for Day-Glo cuddly furry cartoon animals to perform choreographed routines in a discotheque for the under-fives.”
Now the trio has released a luscious new song, ‘Deep Space’ ahead of the launch of second album “Voyage” in May. And yes, it is catchy as heck and has a nice “ooh-hoo” chorus that could be sung by toddlers. But it is rather gorgeous synth-pop.
