Some may call them twee (they are named after a rather innocent 1960s French kids TV series), but Belle and Sebastien land in Luxembourg with a strong track record.
Eternally labelled a student indie band, Glasgow’s Belle and Sebastien have been going for over 20 years--superbly promising early EP “Lazy Line Painter Jane” was released in 1997 and seminal third album “The Boy With The Arab Strap” the following year. The band has since enjoyed a rollercoaster of critical and commercial success, with plenty of highs and lows. They have played to huge crowds as their sound became more commercial and polished and radio-friendly.
Latest single ‘We Were Beautiful’ is a pleasantly memorable slice of horn-laden indie pop, and the band has promised to release a series of EPs in the first few months of 2018. Den Atelier brings the band to the Rockhal for a show in the venue’s “Club” room.
