There is one final chance to see the British Embassy’s #LuxUKLinks exhibition in Luxembourg before it moves to the United Kingdom.
The brainchild of UK ambassador John Marshall, the #LuxUKLinks exhibition (photo LaLa La Photo) highlights the historical economic, cultural and community ties that bind the two countries--everything from the fact that Grand Duke Henri is Queen Elizabeth II’s third cousin once removed to the broadcasts of Radio Luxembourg to excited teenagers in the UK eager to hear the latest pop music.
As the hashtag in the title suggests, the exhibition derived from a series of tweets by the ambassador and is now a fully-fledged show that will soon be seen in the UK, starting at Sheffield university’s Centre for Luxembourg Studies.
The exhibition in Bettembourg, as part of the LiteraTour festival, is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. A guided tour is scheduled for Saturday 21 April at 4 pm.
