A new edition of Printemps Danse comes to Ettelbruck’s CAPE venue with three unmissable performances.
On 20 May, “Mi Frida” (8pm) explores our fascinations with myths, through the representation of pain and poetry. Mexican painter Frida Kahlo never ceases to be a source of fascination in the twentieth century because of her work and life. She suffered pain throughout her life as a result of an accident in which she nearly died. Sascha Ley and Sylvia Camarda transpose her story onto the stage.
“C’est drôle, ça danse!” (it’s funny, it’s dances), showing at 6pm on 21 May, is a unique piece of choreography devised for this festival by Trois C-L to offer emerging young choreographers a platform. It is comprised of three dances from Léa Tirabasso, Baptiste Hilbert, Catarina Barbosa, Simone Mousset and Elisabeth Schilling.
On 24 May, dance fans will have another chance to see “A Bucketful of dreams”, an intimate theatre-dance performance, bringing seven young performers to the stage to interpret their dreams, desires and hopes through dance.
