Things are hotting up in Wiltz where the sixty-fifth Festival de Wiltz is well underway with ballet, multi-genre outdoor concerts and exhibitions.
Among the shows remaining on the programme are a night of flamenco, ballet and live music (14 July), Luxembourg jazz quartet Pol Belardi’s Force (20 July), contemporary dance-cum circus show The Losers (21 July) and the closing night on 23 July.
The latter is described as a festival within a festival, hosting not one but four acts: the soothing acoustic singer José Gonzalez, Brazilian pianist and singer Dillon (whose voice has been likened to Björk), electronic group Monophona and Belgian duo Joy Wellboy.
All events are hosted in the amphitheatre of the Château de Wiltz, in the town centre.
The Festival de Wiltz, which was founded in 1953, became a not-for-profit association for the first time in October 2016, and now operates under the name Cooperations ASBL.
