Film buffs can catch a diverse array of British and Irish films in Luxembourg during the annual edition of the British and Irish Film Season, from 20-30 September.
This year’s British and Irish films season (BIFS) line-up includes 17 feature-length films with a “world-wide influence”, which will be screened in three different venues.
The full line-up includes films from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, spanning genres and highlighting the close ties between the countries.
The season includes two avant-premiers: “Maudie”, by Aisling Walsh and “Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle”, by Matthew Vaughn.
As in previous years, teams of four can participate at a film quiz held on the second evening at the Cinémathèque.
On 10 out of 11 film nights, the public can also vote for different awards. In addition, the audience will have the opportunity to meet several actors, directors and producers at a number of evenings and ask their questions during Q&A sessions.
