Most will remember him as Jack Bauer in the addictive drama “24”, but Sutherland proves he is much more than just an actor when he plays at Luxembourg’s Rockhal on 18 June with his 2016 debut country album “Down In A Hole”.
It all began in early 2015 Sutherland had written two songs that he wanted to record as demos for other artists to record.
After a positive response from best friend Jude Cole, they got to working together on more music. This collaboration resulted in Kiefer Sutherland’s debut album, consisting of 11 tracks, which Sutherland describes as like a diary of his life.
He says: “There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music. As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn’t counted on.”
The album has been greeted positively, for the songs’ “rough-edged beauty”, “dwelling in the past like a drunkard in the gutter.”
