You don't have to be a princess to attend a fairy tale ball--members of the public can too when Kanner Wonsch hosts this “Once upon a time gala” to help children with life-limiting illnesses.
Attendees will have the impression they have entered a real-life fairy tale when they enter the main ballroom and dance under a shimmering crystal chandelier.
Besides providing a fun piece of escapism for adults, the event has a serious purpose—to raise funds to fulfil the wishes of children and young people with life-threatening medical conditions .
Formerly Make-A-Wish Luxembourg, Kanner Wonsch has granted 23 wishes since it was founded in 2012. A further eight wishes are in preparation. This ball will be a chance to learn the story behind each wish, meet team members and find out how you can help.
Ticket price covers a four-course dinner with a menu created by French caterer Marcotullion Réceptions. After dinner, guests can take a turn on the dance floor to tunes from a DJ until 2am.
A major highlight of the evening will be the live and silent auction where people can bid for 50 lots including meet and greets with the ambassadors of Austria and Germany, a balloon ride, cooking classes and a private tour of the Mudam.
Last year’s masquerade ball raised €42,000. This year organisers hope to go even further.
Places are limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
