The final decision will be taken by the government council.

In total, 13 companies introduced a request for short-time work to benefit from certain measures for the next month. Among the 11 companies, which employ 1,100 staff, 404 people will move onto short-time work. The Employment Fund (Fonds pour l’emploi) will release €447.000 in October if these companies will get the full authorisation for short-time work.

The committee on the economic outlook was chaired by the secretary of state for the economy, Francine Closener. It analyses the situation of the labour market and the national economic outlook. The next meeting is on 25 October.
