The annual literary contest has been organised by Luxembourg’s culture ministry since 1978 Pexels

The winners, revealed in a press release sent on Friday, include Anja Di Bartolomeo with “Chamäleons” in first place, in second place Bernd Marcel Gonner with “Volk der Freien” and Elise Schmit in third place with “Stürze aus unterschiedlichen Fallhöhen”. The winner of the young writers category was Claire Schmartz with “Übertragungsneurosen”.

The annual literary contest has been organised by Luxembourg’s culture ministry since 1978 and accepts entries from Luxembourgers or Luxembourg residents in Luxembourg, French, German and English.

The genre of the 2018 contest is theatre plays, with a first prize of €5,000 up for grabs for adults and a €2,000 prize for young writers aged 15-25. The deadline for submitting manuscripts is 2 July 2018. Click here to find out more about this contest.
