The president of parliament, Mars Di Bartolomeo, said during the last parliamentary session in 2017:

“2018 is, just like 2017, an election year. Our chamber will face new elections and that is why we will get more attention than usual. That is why I hope we can have constructive and fair debates, which allow us to conduct our workload in good conditions.”

Among the laws that parliament has to vote on is the new hospital law, the draft law on prostitution and pimping, the reform of the law on divorce, the big reform of the constitution, and the reform of the prison law and of the church parish properties.

Debates

Apart from the traditional debates on the state of the nation and the debate on foreign and European policy, so far debates on the problems of housing, mobility and town and country planning have been scheduled.
