The parliament spread by party sees the CSV with most seats at 21, followed by DP, 12, LSAP, 10, and déi Gréng, with 9. ADR now has 4 seats, déi Lénk retains its 2 and the Pirate Party joins parliament for the first time with 2 seats.

Results by region

By 10:40pm the count was complete for the southern constituency, which echoed similar early results as the centre. It was here that the Pirates gained their second seat. Déi Gréng increased their seats from 2 to 3, while LSAP lost 1 seat bringing it to 6, CSV lost 1, bringing it to 7 and the DP, déi Lénk and ADR remained unchanged with 3, 1 and 2 seats, respectively.

Results for the centre were complete by 10pm where déi Gréng doubled its seats, rising from 2 to 4, while the Pirates gained their first seat in this constituency. LSAP (3 to 2), CSV (8 to 7) and DP (6 to 5) each lost a seat. ADR and déi Lénk retained their single seats.

North and East

Northern election results were in by 8:40pm. ADR gains 1 seat. LSAP lost a seat bringing its total to 1, while seats remained unchanged for déi Gréng (Greens): 1, CSV: 4, DP: 2.

Compared to the 2013 elections results, CSV support in this area fell -1.46%, while LSAP saw a -1.35% decline and the DP, though retaining its two seats, saw support fall 8.58%. déi Gréng saw a 3.9% increase in support, Pirates were up 4.3%, the ADR rose 3.43% and déi Lénk were up 0.97%.

By 8pm the results were complete for the eastern constituency, where the share of seats is unchanged from the last governments with, déi Gréng: 1, LSAP: 1, CSV:3 and DP:2.

Even if the status quo has been maintained, there were some movements in the spread of votes. The CSV saw support fall -7.5% compared with 2013, the DP -1.18% and the LSAP -1.71%. Most of these losses were absorbed by Déi Gréng, for whom support rose 3.42%. Pirates saw support rise 4%, the ADR 1.89% and Déi Lénk 0.57%.
