The ADR local section has published a manifesto in its newsletter, "De Pefferkär" Maison Moderne

There are six priorities:

  1. “Affordable housing: the ADR has concrete solutions, for example to offer more than 1,500 social housing units.
  2. The right to a secure life is a fundamental right of citizens. We ask for a serious police presence in public spaces.
  3. One form of transport should not be played against the others anymore. We don’t want a car-free city!
  4. Families with children need the best possible support. Apart from nice playgrounds, schools and maisons relais must offer optimum conditions.
  5. The Luxembourgish language is the most important path to integration. The city council must lead by example, e.g. with brochures, forms and on its website.
  6. The ADR wants a liveable city. That means a clean city where public spaces are not degraded by graffiti or stickers; and where people are not harassed.”

The centre-right party wants to place half of the city council’s €800 million reserve fund in a housing fund, to build, buy and rent out more social and affordable housing. It also wants to reduce the number of empty council houses.

In terms of security, the ADR has argued that it is unacceptable that certain events, like the Schueberfouer, are insufficiently protected for logistical reasons.

The ADR wants to abolish the regulation which allows only 1 parking space per flat.

The party has pledged to support sports clubs for young people.

The party that champions the promotion of Luxembourgish finds it insulting that the website of the Ville de Luxembourg is only in French, and that it is discriminating against Portuguese, German and English residents.

Finally, “De Pefferkär” also mentions the parc Mansfeld, which was inaugurated with great pomp, but that there are now corners which are overgrown with nettles. The ADR want to create a special cleaning unit of urban buildings which would ensure that stickers and graffiti would be regularly removed.
