New routes and destinations--including Bordeaux, Seville, Mararakech--contributed to this increase, with Porto holding the spot as the top destination of the year. 

Lisbon, Munich, Frankfurt and London were the next most frequently travelled-to destinations.

Although the numbers represent a new record, the airport reported that traveler growth for 2018 was actually lower by about 12%, year on year.
