According to figures published in a joint response from infrastructure minister François Bausch and interior minister Etienne Schneider, the number of fines issued in 2017 reached 3,879.

It marked a slight increase from 2016 when 3,784 fines were issued. The same year, Luxembourg reformed the law changing the penalties issued to people who park illegally in spaces reserved for people with disabilities. Starting 15 May 2016, a separate €145 fine was issued for such offences.

Prior to the new law, the parking offence was grouped together with a handful of others.

The figures were mentioned in a joint response to a parliamentary question asked by Lex Delles and Gusty Graas.
