BCEE is satisfied with its activity in the first half of the year, posting a 6.8% increase in net profit compared to the first six months of 2016. Net income reached 161.7 million euros while the volume of customer deposits also increased by 8.7% (30.65 billion euros) over the last six months.
A formal order for the liquidation of investment firm Obsieger Capital Management SA was made on 3 August, following the final withdrawal of the approval by the finance ministry. Laurent Fisch was appointed as liquidator.
The public prosecutor has formally appealed the July judgment fining the owners of the café-restaurant in Waldhaff (in a Natura 2000 zone) €20,000 for installing a roof over the terrace. The prosecution had requested a €125,000 fine, removal of the roof and the café’s closure.
