  • Three new projects have been selected to develop the new neighbourhood in central square in Belval. The total surface is 38,000 m2. A mix of housing, offices and shops is foreseen in the proposal. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
  • A second tower will be built in Differdange. The 20-storey tower will be built at the former site of Ceps-Instead. The project presents an investment of €63.5 million. Three other buildings will be built next to the tower, housing a childcare centre, an appart-hotel and offices.
  • To remedy the serious traffic in the residential neighbourhood in Limpertsberg, the government has unveiled plans to relocate four high schools to Kirchberg. Furthermore, the university campus will close and 1,200 students will move to Esch-Belval. In total, 6,500 students will move away from Limpertsberg by 2025. Around 900 housing units will be built on their sites, for around 1,200 to 1,500 people.
  • Housing prices (except for new houses) have increased by 6.8% on average compared to the same period last year, according to Eurostat.
