The prime ministers, respectively, of Luxembourg and Canada met on 19 April.

Bettel wrote that:

“A long friendship links Canada and Luxembourg. With Justin Trudeau, we have agreed to strengthen political and economic ties.”

On his Twitter account, Trudeau wrote:

“Talking trade, jobs and how #CETA will help people on both sides of the Atlantic with Luxembourg’s PM, @Xavier_Bettel, today in Ottawa.”

Bettel and other Luxembourg officials have meetings scheduled in Toronto on 20 April.
