- Luxembourg’s prime minister, Xavier Bettel, met with China’s president, Xi Jinping, during the fourth day of Bettel’s official visit to the Middle Kingdom. The two leaders commented on the excellent political, economic and cultural links between the countries, according to official statements, and discussed strengthening ties.
- Cargolux will invest €54m in Henan Cargo Airlines. The freight carrier will own 25% of the China-based joint venture, which was unveiled earlier this week.
- Thursday marks the end of cross-border mobile roaming, as we know it, in the EU. Carriers are rolling out new services to make up for the lost revenue.
- The Luxembourg-based data centre developer Etix Everywhere plans to open a co-location facility in northern Sweden, near the Arctic circle. Construction will begin once a minimum amount of IT capacity has been let. It will then take about 16 weeks to build the site.
