Stefania Brunetti says the British Ladies Club fosters values that are very important to her.

Stefania Brunetti arrived in Luxembourg in 1993 but it was not until 2012 that she actually joined the British Ladies Club.

Delano: How did you find out about the British Ladies Club?

Stefania Brunetti: I knew of the existence of the club, but I had been busy with work through the years. In 2010 I had my first child and in 2012 I had twins. I decided to become a full-time mum in that time. As I did that I realised that all my friends worked! I felt I needed to expand my social network and I though the BLC was a good place where to start.

What is your role in the club?

Initially I was a club member then I took over the Newcomers committee role. I loved it. I did that for 2 years. Since then I have returned to being just a member.

In your opinion, what is the best thing about being a member of the club?

In my opinion BLC is the best amongst the official and unofficial clubs and groups in Luxembourg, as it offers the perfect variety of events. Within BLC I can find events for the woman, for the mum, for the entrepreneur, for the family, for the sporty and so on. There is really something for everybody.

The other thing I like a lot is that the club fosters values that are very important to me: friendship, support, loyalty, honesty... all this with lots of fun.

Today I work as relocation manager and the first piece of advice I give to newcomers in Luxembourg is to join the Club not to feel lonely in a new town and to quickly build a network

Do you have a favourite memory of your time with the BLC?

Yes. Lots actually. November 2014, for example we, as a family, had great time at the Horrible Halloween Party and my son Giacomo won the 1st prize for cutest boy in Halloween costume.
