That’s according to an article published by the French newspaper Le Monde on 16 November.

Belgium had the second highest rate, 12.17 Brits per 100,000 residents; and Sweden the third, 12.04 per 100,000.

Germany naturalised the most Brits in total numbers: 7,493 in 2017 (out of 122,200 foreigners who obtained German nationality, said its Federal Statistical Office).

France naturalised the second highest total number of British citizens (1,518) and Belgium the third biggest number (1,381).
