The organisation is appealing for professionals and design students to come forward and submit their portfolios for the design portfolio exhibition at the Rotondes on 30 June.

The exhibition will be complemented with a directory of the Luxembourg design scene.

Plus all design portfolios which are selected for the exhibition will be featured on website www.designfriends.lu and shown in other, international exhibitions.

The portfolio event is open to all designers, professionals and students, from Luxembourg and the Greater Region working in any design field (graphic design, product design, photography, fashion, sound, illustration, light, interior, motion design).

To stand a chance of being selected, candidates should submit a portfolio of up to 20 pages featuring three projects for professional designers or one project for students, along with a selection of visuals.

Submissions should also include a short biography and personal statement of five sentences, outlining what design means to you.

This should be submitted in a single printable pdf file (max 10MB) via

WeTransfer or other similar file-sharing platform to [email protected].

The closing date for applications is 4pm on 6 March.

The final portfolios exhibited will be selected by an international jury of design professionals and members of Design Friends.

All successful candidates will be notified in April 2017.

Design Friends was created in 2009 to complement the lobbying work begun by Design Luxembourg by organising lectures and events related to design.
