This is the fourth time that the prize, worth €5000, is being launched by the culture ministry.

Its objective is to encourage contemporary choreography and/or the artistic merits of young dancers in the Grand Duchy. The jury chooses one dancer or choreographer who has already distinguished him/herself and has participated in one international event. If the artist is involved in the local choreographic scene, that is considered an advantage.

Professional dancers or choreographers under 36 who are either Luxembourgish or reside in Luxembourg can participate. More details can be found here.
