According to a statement released on 5 June, the Luxembourg cargo carrier joins a growing list of airlines that are refusing to transport hunting trophies, with CEO, Richard Forson, saying, “Cargolux is committed to building a sustainable business model and this includes preserving the environment and its natural resources. As such, we can no longer accept these shipment requests.”

He explained that Cargolux is committed to animal welfare as part of its Live Animal Transportation Policy and that the airline operates in full compliance with IATA Live Animal Regulation (LAR) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
