Most of the City of Luxembourg's official website’s content is now available in EnglishScreenshot of www.vdl.lu homepage

The city administration said it wanted to provide users with quick access to content. In addition to much of the www.vdl.lu website, which was previously predominantly French, being made available in three languages, English and German versions of PDF documents have also been uploaded. However, “legal documents will only be available in French, which remains the governing language,” the city administration said in a statement.

Some 4,500 pages of content containing around 1 million words, according to the city authorities, were translated from French into German and English.

From next Wednesday 12 June, the Ville de Luxembourg’s newsletter will also be available in three languages. Visitors to the website can sign up to receive the newsletter for free here.
