- A Climate Finance Accelerator is coming to Luxembourg. The outfit will help fund managers develop new green finance products. The finance and environment ministers, Pierre Gramegna and Carole Dieschbourg, said the government would provide €2m in seed funding over three years. Arendt & Medernach, Elvinger Hoss Prussen, Innpact, LMDF, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and EY have signed on to the initiative.
- The Housing Fund (Fonds du Logement) manages 1,851 affordable housings units nationally. Most are in Luxembourg City (567), Differdange (306) and Esch-sur-Alzette (217). The National Affordable Housing Co. (SNHBM) manages 182 units in Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette, Diekirch, Grevenmacher and Mamer.
- The four-year-old Belgian law firm Strelia will open a Luxembourg office in September.
- Luxembourg’s unemployment rate remained at 6% in May, the same rate as in April, said the jobs agency Adem.
