According to figures published by Statec (PDF), 62% of employees, equivalent to 170,000 people, received professional training that year, spending 1.2% of their work time in training.

Across the labour market, more than three quarters of companies polled in Luxembourg (77%) offered professional training for staff in 2015, a proportion which has risen from 71% in 2010.

Training was most commonly offered in large companies and firms active in the fields of resources and energy, as well as transport and communications.

The most popular courses were specific to companies operations (75%), while one in five were about client relations, IT, management and just under one in five were language training.
