The hassle of getting up early and leaving home without breakfast, finding somewhere to park and then sitting in a waiting room at a medical centre just to give a blood sample is a thing of the past for users of the new Picken Doheem mobile service.

“Blood sample taking now belongs to the era of mobility and the shared economy,” says Picken Doheem. The service, provided by BioneXt Lab in collaboration with a number of home help service providers, is available to anyone in Luxembourg and to cross-border workers. Appointments can be made for the patient’s home, work or address of choice. It is free of charge, with the costs borne by BioneXt Lab.

Patients can make an appointment by phone on 8002 4040, via the service’s website, www.pickendoheem.lu , or by downloading the iOs/ Android-compatible Picken Doheem app.

Meanwhile, dry cleaning also just became a whole lot easier thanks to Klin. The new start up, supported by Technoport, is offering customers in and around the capital city a pick-up and drop-off service at competitive rates. Customers can choose an address and time for pick-up. The service then collects and sorts the laundry, and delivers them at a convenient time. Payment can be made upon delivery or by credit card. The service is available via the Klin website, which is in English and French, at www.klin.lu
