Around 346 cyclists signed up to participate in the Biklio pilot, which ran in Luxembourg during the month of October. By downloading the application and cycling over 500 metres, they were able to get discounted or even free drinks in some locations and access useful information like bike amenities.

The pilot, which was coordinated in Luxembourg by Luxmobility, also included a contest to encourage cycling. The winner, Romain Mayer was awarded with a new bicycle donated by S-Cape, at a ceremony on Wednesday, which was attended by transport minister François Bausch.

Luxmobility’s Martin Kracheel presented the results of the campaign which will provide valuable data for urban planning.
