The first Dekra site will be in Bertrange and should be open to the public from early 2018
A new rival to the national society for technical inspections will shortly open its first testing centre in Bertrange.
German automotive giant Dekra announced Friday it will be located at Goedert garage, according to our sister magazine, Paperjam.
It remains to complete the paperwork but sustainable development ministry sources suggest this will be completed in the coming week and the site should open to the general public in early 2018. The monopoly of the national society of technical controls (SNCT) came to an end on 1 February 2017.
Already other actors are taking steps to take a piece of the pie.
The SNCT board chairman Josiane Paul told Paperjam they were prepared for this new situation.
