While the taste of the traditional Diekirch beer remains the same, the means of production have evolved immensely. With the company’s use of recyclable packaging, the brewery has always prioritised ecologically favourable solutions.

According to a press release issued by AB InBev on Thursday 24 August, the brewing technique of the new institution strengthens their sustainability by using 15% less electricity. A special drainage system will reduce water consumption by 20%. The most significant change relates to a reduction of 75% in CO2.

The brewery anticipates a delivery of 34 containers this month, out of which 8 containers have a capacity of 60,000 litres of beer. According to the director of the brewery, Arnold Blondeel, the new brewery will ensure that production is “more efficient along with the safest conditions”.

The opening of the new brewery is scheduled for mid-2018. Meanwhile, Blondeel stresses that “the beer keeps flowing in Diekirch.”
