Statec, the Luxembourg statistics office, has published the latest employment figures on Monday 18 December.

The biggest growth was in accounting, cleaning services and IT programming.

These branches cover 20% of employment, and have created 32% of jobs between the third trimester of 2016 and 2017.

The number of employed cross-border workers has risen quicker than that of residents (+4.0% against 2.8%).

Amongst residents, the number of EU workers has risen by 3.3%, against an increase of 11% of third country nationals in employment.
