“The financial sector accounts for 24% of gross value added, 50% of exports and 18% of budget revenues”, according to DBRS, a credit ratings agency, in a report issued Friday.
Despite the heavy reliance on the financial industry, DBRS said “the country’s economic prospects remain robust.”
