Managing director Jürgen Berg said in a 7 March statement that the additions offer “the possibility to combine rail transport and individual transport in a very simple way.” In Dommeldange, in fact, the Flex station is located right at the train station, whereas in Bonnevoie the station is in the rue Pont-Rémy, about a 15-minute walk from the central train station.

The Flex station in Hesperange will also be equipped with another vehicle, a BMW 118i, initially until end-May. According to Berg, this was to meet the increase in demand there.

Flex celebrated its first anniversary in February. In January, Berg told Delano in an interview: “Carsharing should not be seen as a must. People should be having fun sharing cars and using public transport.”

The Flex carsharing service has over 80 cars at 30 stations, and anyone interested in using the service should register on flex.lu to initiate the process of getting a Flex card.
