According to Luxembourg met agency Meteolux, the winds will have slightly less kick on Thursday than they did on Wednesday, when storm Eleanor wreaked havoc around the country, disrupting transport and damaging property.

This time, the winds will be gale-force, reaching speeds of between 65 and 75 km/h, or a little higher in raised regions, posing a potential danger, Meteolux warned on its website.

The agency added that the winds will be at their most potent across the country between 1pm and 10pm. Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum 12°C on Thursday, while rain will remain a feature of the day. Meteolux gave no advance warnings for Friday.
