The hardy hikers faced snow and freezing temperatures after setting out from Luxembourg-Kirchberg last Friday to raise money for Luca Antifora to buy an Exoskeleton.

Antifora lost the use of his legs following a serious cycling accident while on secondment in Qatar in 2015.

He hopes to compete in Ironman and marathons in future and to inspire people facing similar difficulties. At the time of writing, the campaign had raised over €47,000, not far off their €50,000 goal.

The Vodafone Foundation has agreed to match any funds raised.
