Tourism sites reported 37,706 visits, marking a 15.8% increase on the same period in 2017.

The tourism office itself had 23,317 interactions, marking a 10% increase on last year.

Among the tourists visiting Luxembourg City, a fifth came from Germany, 15% from France, 12% from Luxembourg, 4% from Belgium and 3.5% from the Netherlands.

Luxembourg’s ancient fortress tunnels, the Bock Casemates, proved a big draw with visit numbers rising 27%. This was helped in part by the fact the tunnels opened for eight additional days in February.
