According to Paperjam, Intesa Sanpaolo will own and occupy a purpose-built, 10,000 square metre office, designed by Moreno Architecture & Associates.

“This building will strengthen our image and is in line with our group’s strategy,” Intesa Sanpaolo Holding International CEO Christophe Velle told Paperjam, adding: “The decision to invest in this new headquarters confirms our commitment to long-term development, as well as our confidence in Luxembourg and its financial centre.”

Present in Luxembourg for the past 40 years, Intesa Sanpaolo employs around 400 staff in its banking, private equity and asset management activities. The holding company plays a major role in the future development of its activities.

The new offices, on the corner of boulevard Kockelscheuer and boulevard Raiffeisen, should accommodate up to 900 staff. Currently, the bank’s staff are located across three sites--avenue de la Liberté, rue Goethe and boulevard Prince Henri.
