The inspections were carried out between 9 and 13 July 2018 during the second edition of the Health and Safety at Work Week, when inspections of 69 construction companies employing a total of 260 people were carried out.

According to a government press release, the majority of infringements concerned lack of adequate protection against falling, as well as sub-standard scaffolding and ladders.

Further checks on 47 companies will be carried out over the next few days, the communiqué states.
