Johnson was in Luxembourg to attend the EU foreign affairs council. They discussed issues related to Brexit and the latest international developments, such as the Iran nuclear deal and the situation in North Korea.

On Thursday 19 and Friday 20 October, the European Council will meet to discuss whether “sufficient progress” has been made on the so-called Brexit divorce issues to start the second phase of negotiations on a future relationship between the EU and the UK.
