That’s according to figures published by Eurostat on 3 January.

Average hospital stays in the grand duchy were 8.9 days, the EU statistics agency said.

The longest in-patient stays were recorded in the Czech Republic (9.6 days), Croatia (9.3) and France (9.1). The shortest stays were in the Netherlands (4.5 days), Bulgaria (5.3) and Denmark (5.5).

The figures excluded long-term care. Eurostat said data for Greece, Hungary and Portugal was not available.
