Altogether, data gathering staff should visit 8,000 households across the Grand Duchy to collect information about income, poverty, social inclusion, work, education and health for the EU-SILC Survey.

Similar surveys are conducted across the other 27 EU countries as well as Iceland, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland and Macedonia.

In Luxembourg, the survey is conducted by Liser for Statec, the national statistics bureau.

Households are selected based on the “Registre National des Personnes Physiques”, the national residents database.

They will be visited between 15 February and 15 August 2017.

All data collectors will carry full ID showing they represent Liser, the organisation said in an announcement on Thursday.

If you are visited by a person claiming to collect data as part of this survey and there is a doubt, you can verify with Liser by calling 58 58 55-273 between 9am and 4pm or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
