Thomas Kallstenius, pictured, succeeds ad interim List CEO Dr Fernand Reinig List

According to a press statement from the organisation, the 48-year-old Swedish national will take up functions on 1 February 2019. He succeeds ad interim CEO Fernand Reinig.

Before joining List, Dr Kallstenius was research programme director at nanoelectronics and digital technologies organisation Imec, prior to which he was vice president for research and innovation at iMinds, which merged with Imec in 2016.

He also served as director of Bell Labs on video communication, as strategic marketing director at Alcatel-Lucent and researcher on broadband access at Ericsson Research.

Kallstenius holds a master’s in engineering physics from Sweden’s Royal Institute of Technology, a PhD in semiconductor materials science from Uppsala University and an MBA from Vlerick Management School in Leuven, Belgium.
